MENTA Start-Up Business Wins Award

The best new Start-up business in Suffolk has been announced and it's a business run by two lifelong friends, Wild Play Ltd was announced as the winner last night at the prestigious Bury Free Press Business Awards at the Apex in Bury St Edmunds.

The Business began its journey with business training and advice from MENTA and has grown quickly, having already been recognized by the business impresario, Theo Paphitis.

The best new Start-up award is always one of the most eagerly awaited announcements of the year, the awards are judged by twelve independent locally based business representatives.

MENTA CEO Alex Till says " The past two weeks of business events have proven to be a huge success, the MENTA Business Show launching the West Suffolk Business festival had our largest ever attendance and now last night’s Bury Free Press Business awards demonstrating just how diverse and forward thinking the business community is in our region.

I'm particularly thrilled for the Wild Play team and their win as they have driven their new business at such a pace over the past 19 months, huge credit to them and of course I’m very proud that their business journey began with the team at MENTA.

Business duo Heidi Franklin and Denise Winder first met at antenatal classes when they were both expecting their first child and have remained firm friends ever since. Being outdoors has become a way of life for Denise and Heidi, as they endeavoured to get their own children outdoors as much as possible from when they were tiny babies and growing up.
