MENTA – Sponsor of the Best New Start-up, Bury Free Press Business Award

On Friday 12th October Alex Till, CEO of MENTA and invited guests enjoyed a fantastic evening at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds celebrating the Bury Free Press Business Awards 2018.

MENTA sponsored the Best New Start-up Award and the worthy winner was Bury based FamilyCarersNet – whose founder is Simon Brown. The company is a new digital community for unpaid carers in the UK, where they can receive peer-to-peer support, professional information, advice and guidance,live chat with health professionals and be involved in events and activities,local to them.

Alex Till commented, “The evening celebrated the success of the local business community. Congratulations to Simon and the staff at FamilyCarersNet for winning their award. It was great to have the opportunity to recognise people making a difference to peoples lives as well as building a successful business.”

MENTA provides business advice, training and networking events for established businesses as well as for start-ups. Its special series of three, free, four hour Start Right business skills workshops are designed to support people considering being their own boss or who have been in business for less than 12 months. Start Right is provided free of charge due to funding support from the European Regional Development Agency.
