Be Your Own Boss – Free Business Start-up Workshops in Beccles

Free business skills workshops will take place in Beccles during March, to support those thinking of setting up their own business.

MENTA is Suffolk’s enterprise agency and its mission is to help people achieve their dreams of becoming self-employed. Their Start Right programme of three, four hour workshops cover business planning, marketing and book keeping and will be held at The Station Café, Beccles on the 6th, 13th and 20th March. There are further dates planned for May.

MENTA trainer, Sally Prentis said, “The Start Right programme has been completed by more than 300 delegates. At least 140 of them have taken the plunge into self-employment.  I meet people from all age groups and backgrounds who attend to gain expert advice and business skills training.”

“The sessions are funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The long-term aim is to produce more employment opportunities and prosperity in Beccles and the Eastern Region.”
