Launched 20th Feb 2012, the Berti Green Accelerator programme provides access to capital funding and bespoke business support and expertise. It will champion three entrepreneurial, low-carbon businesses in the UK. The aim of the programme is to have a positive environmental impact by ensuring that innovative green entrepreneurs have access to business expertise and elite networks.
Each year, three businesses will be selected for the Berti Green Accelerator programme, and will receive six months' business support and expertise from Hamilton Bradshaw Impact Partners and the opportunity to receive funding of up to £1 million each from Berti Investments.
The funding (if awarded) is to be used to start-up and advance new low carbon businesses operating in the UK
UK-based businesses operating within the UK that are working to reduce carbon emissions are eligible to apply. The business can be at any stage of operations.
The business should fit into at least one of these sectors:
- Renewable Energy Generation
- Energy Storage
- Energy Efficiency
- Transportation
- Air and Environment
- Clean Industry
- Water
- Agriculture
The 2012 deadline for receipt of completed applications is 17 April 2012 (8pm).
